- 2 filet mignon steaks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season filet mignon with salt and pepper, then sear for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove the steaks and set aside.
- Add mushrooms and garlic to the skillet, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the beef broth, scraping up browned bits, then add the heavy cream and Dijon mustard.
- Return the filet mignon to the skillet, cooking to desired doneness.
- Serve with mushroom sauce drizzled on top.

- For a richer flavor, add a splash of red wine.
