- 1 Tomahawk rib roast
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper to form a herb butter.
- Rub the herb butter all over the rib roast, ensuring it's well coated.
- Place the rib roast in a roasting pan and insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 325°F (165°C).
- Continue roasting until the thermometer reads your desired doneness.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
