Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Peel and slice the apples, then set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar, melted butter, and eggs.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until well combined.
- Fold in the sliced apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle brown sugar on top before baking.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
