- 1 pie crust
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa powder, evaporated milk, and butter. Cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
- Remove from heat and whisk in egg yolks and vanilla extract.
- Stir in coconut and pecans, then pour the filling into the pie crust.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until set.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For best results, chill the pie in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving.
- Top with whipped cream for extra indulgence.
