Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. In a skillet, sauté the mushrooms in the remaining olive oil until golden brown.
  6. Add the heavy cream, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  7. Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve hot over pasta or with crusty bread.
