- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, and garlic. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
- Let chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly.
- To assemble gyros, place sliced chicken in pita bread and top with tomatoes, cucumber, and lettuce.

- For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight.
- Serve with homemade tzatziki for the best taste.
