- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cooked beef, uncooked rice, beef broth, mushroom soup, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add your favorite herbs such as thyme or rosemary.
- Adjust the cheese to your liking; a mix of cheeses can be used.
