- 1 pound beef stew meat
- 1/2 cup barley
- 1 cup carrots, chopped
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the beef stew meat over medium heat.
- Add onions, carrots, and celery; sauté until tender.
- Stir in barley and thyme.
- Add beef broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 1-2 hours.
