- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 ripe peaches, sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar.
- Add the flour, salt, baking powder, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and stir until combined.
- Press half of the dough mixture into the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer the sliced peaches over the pressed dough.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the peaches.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
- These bars can be topped with a sprinkle of powdered sugar before serving.
