Delicious, bite-sized cake pops made from crumbled cake and frosting, dipped in chocolate, and decorated for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 24 cake pops

Ingredients

- 1 baked cake (vanilla, chocolate, or your choice)
- ½ cup frosting (buttercream, cream cheese, or preferred type)
- 12 oz candy melts or melted chocolate
- 24 lollipop sticks
- Sprinkles or decorations (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare Cake Balls: Crumble the baked cake into fine crumbs. Mix with frosting until the texture is moldable.
2. Roll and Chill: Roll into 1-inch balls and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
3. Insert Sticks: Dip lollipop sticks into melted chocolate and insert into each cake ball.
4. Dip in Chocolate: Melt candy melts or chocolate, then dip each cake pop evenly. Tap off excess coating.
5. Decorate and Dry: Add sprinkles or drizzle melted chocolate. Let dry in a cake pop stand or Styrofoam block.

Notes

- Adjust frosting amount to achieve the right consistency.
- If chocolate is too thick, add 1 tsp vegetable oil to thin it.
- Store at room temp for 1-2 days, in the fridge for 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
