  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the cherries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract over medium heat. Cook until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
  4. Place a tablespoon of the cherry mixture onto the center of each pastry square.
  5. Fold the pastry over to create triangles and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with the egg wash made from mixing egg and milk.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
