  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine cherries, sugar, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut into squares.
  4. Fill each square with a spoonful of cherry filling and fold over into a triangle.
  5. Seal the edges with a fork and brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
