- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, onion, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through.
- In a skillet, sauté sliced mushrooms until golden brown.
- Add heavy cream to the mushrooms and simmer until thickened.
- Serve meatloaf with mushroom gravy on top.
Notes
- Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- For extra flavor, add Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture.
