Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
- Once the ice cream is churned, layer it in a freezer-safe container, alternating with spoonfuls of the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts between layers for added crunch.
- Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
- Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving for easier scooping.
