Ingredients

- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon food coloring
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, reduce heat and let it simmer until it reaches 260°F (hard ball stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and food coloring.
- Pour onto a greased surface and let cool slightly.
- Once cool enough to handle, pull the taffy until it becomes light in color and fluffy.
- Roll into logs and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Wrap in wax paper and let set.

- Store in a cool, dry place to maintain softness.
- Can be made in various flavors by adding different extracts.
