  • 2 cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
  3. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cocoa powder and sprinkle it over the batter.
  6. Carefully pour the hot water over the top of the cake mixture.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the cake has risen and the pudding is bubbling.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
