- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- While the cake is cooling, beat together the ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and heavy cream until smooth.
- Once the cake has cooled, spread the ricotta mixture on top and serve.
Notes
- For an extra touch, sprinkle cocoa powder on top of the ricotta layer.
- Let the cake sit for a few hours for the flavors to meld together.
