- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg white
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the flour and vanilla extract, mixing until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough into a log and chill in the refrigerator for an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the chilled dough and spread the nut mixture over it.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into cookies.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Let cool.
Notes
- For a sweeter filling, consider adding a tablespoon of honey to the nut mixture.
- These cookies can be dusted with additional powdered sugar before serving for extra sweetness.
