Instructions

  1. Cook the bow tie pasta according to package instructions; drain.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.
  3. Add the minced garlic and Italian sausage to the skillet, breaking up the sausage with a spoon, and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Combine the pasta with the sausage mixture and toss to coat.
  6. Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
