- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the bow tie pasta according to package instructions; drain.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.
- Add the minced garlic and Italian sausage to the skillet, breaking up the sausage with a spoon, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Combine the pasta with the sausage mixture and toss to coat.
- Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

- For added creaminess, you can stir in a splash of heavy cream just before serving.
