- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour and cocoa powder, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into a greased baking pan and spread evenly.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
- Top with the remaining brownie batter and spread gently.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until set. Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of salt to the cream cheese mixture.
- Serve chilled for a preferable texture.
