Instructions

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in lemon juice and zest.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
