- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 1 pound ribeye steak, sliced thin
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- 1 cup onion, sliced
- 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onions and bell peppers until soft.
- Add the sliced steak to the skillet and cook until browned, then stir in garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Slice the Italian bread in half and scoop out some of the bread from the center.
- Layer the steak mixture on the bread and top with shredded provolone cheese.
- Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or jalapeños.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
