Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Gradually whisk in the cold water until the batter is smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Dip the fish fillets in the batter and carefully place them in the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of garlic powder or paprika to the batter.
- Serve with tartar sauce or lemon wedges.
