- 2 pounds chicken thighs
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger.
- Place chicken thighs in a large resealable bag, pour marinade over the chicken, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until browned.
- In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water. Add to the remaining marinade and bring to a boil.
- Simmer for a few minutes until thickened, then pour over the chicken in the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
- Serve hot with rice or vegetables.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Pair with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
