- 2 cups chopped mushrooms
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 packet of puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
- Add mushrooms and thyme, cooking until mushrooms are tender.
- Stir in vegetable broth and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and mix in Gruyère cheese until melted.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut into circles to fit your ramekins.
- Fill each ramekin with mushroom mixture, then top with puff pastry circles.
- Brush the pastry with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a mix of wild mushrooms.
- Can substitute Gruyère with cheddar or mozzarella.
