Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the flank steak with cornstarch and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steak and cook until browned. Remove from pan.
  4. In the same pan, add soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes and stir.
  5. Return the steak to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the beef marinate in the soy sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
