- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 strips turkey bacon
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add chopped onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, and oregano, cooking for another minute.
- Add kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Crumble the cooked turkey bacon and stir back into the pot.
- Simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot!
Notes
- For a spicier chili, add jalapeños or cayenne pepper.
- Let the chili simmer longer for deeper flavors.
