Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the onions into thick rings and separate them.
  3. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  4. Fill each onion ring with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Dip each stuffed ring in flour, then egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  8. Drizzle the garlic butter over the baked onion rings.
  9. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper before serving.
