- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup corn kernels
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, celery, and bell pepper. Sauté until softened.
- Add shrimp and corn, cooking for another 5 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
Notes
- For added flavor, use homemade chicken broth.
- This bisque can be served with crusty bread for a complete meal.
