  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken, and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté until softened.
  4. Add orzo, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, and heavy cream; stir to combine.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until orzo is cooked.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cooked chicken; mix well.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add more Cajun seasoning or crushed red pepper flakes.
  • You can substitute chicken with shrimp for a different flavor.
