Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add softened butter, eggs, orange juice, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
- Stir in orange zest, then pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool.
- To make the frosting, beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and heavy cream. Mix until well combined.
- Frost the cooled cake with the cream cheese frosting and garnish as desired.
- Slice and serve chilled for the best flavor.
