- 1 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together.
- Pour the mixture into a baking pan and sprinkle the pecans on top.
- In a bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and eggs.
- Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the egg mixture.
- Gradually mix in the buttermilk.
- Pour the batter over the pecans in the baking pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before inverting onto a plate.
