  • 1 cup additional powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla and peppermint extracts, and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually stir in the flour, crushed peppermint candies, and salt until a dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before rolling in the additional powdered sugar.
  8. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
