Instructions

  1. Beat butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
  3. Mix in egg and vanilla.
  4. Whisk dry ingredients separately, then combine with wet mixture.
  5. Chill dough for at least 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line baking sheets.
  7. Roll dough to ⅛ inch and cut shapes.
  8. Bake for 12 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
  9. Cool and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
