- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla.
- Mix the wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
- Spread half of the batter in a greased baking pan.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth and spread it over the batter.
- Drop the remaining batter by spoonfuls on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

- Try adding chocolate chips for a sweet twist.
