- 1 box spice cake mix
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, pumpkin puree, melted butter, eggs, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In another bowl, blend the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter and swirl gently with a knife.
- If using, sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
