- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream

- 1 cup chocolate shavings, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the cake mix as directed on the box.
- Pour the batter into a greased lasagna dish and bake for about 30-35 minutes.
- Once baked, allow the cake to cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Add the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Whip the heavy cream separately until soft peaks form, then fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
- Layer the cooled red velvet cake with the mascarpone mixture in the dish, repeating until ingredients are used up.
- Top with chocolate shavings and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider using a chocolate sauce drizzle on top before serving.
- This dessert can be made a day in advance for best results.
