Ingredients

- 4 cups cucumber, sliced
- 1 cup onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon dill seeds
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers and onions.
- In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, dill seeds, and black peppercorns. Bring to a boil.
- Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers and onions.
- Let it cool and then transfer to jars.
- Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
Notes
- For spicier pickles, add red pepper flakes to the brine.
