- 2 ribeye steaks
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup cream

- pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
- While onions are cooking, boil potatoes in salted water until tender.
- Drain potatoes and mash with cream, remaining butter, salt, and pepper.
- In another pan, cook the ribeye steaks to desired doneness.
- Serve steak topped with caramelized onions alongside mashed potatoes.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add garlic to the onions while caramelizing.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the ribeye is cooked to your liking.
