Ingredients

- 1 cup rice
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, combine the milk, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then add the rice.
- Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, you can substitute half-and-half for some of the milk.
- Serve with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top for added flavor.
