- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add softened butter and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Layer the sliced apples over the crust and drizzle with caramel sauce.
- Crumble the remaining dough mixture over the top of the apples.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Sprinkle sea salt over the warm bars and let cool before cutting.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
- These bars can be made a day ahead for convenience.
