			- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread half of the dough into the prepared pan and drizzle with caramel sauce. Then, spread the remaining dough over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sea salt. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For extra caramel flavor, drizzle additional caramel sauce on top after baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
