- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 4 ounces turkey bacon
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 1 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Thinly slice the sweet potatoes and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then crumble.
- In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
- Layer half of the sweet potatoes in a baking dish, followed by half of the cream mixture and half of the bacon.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Can substitute bacon with vegan options for a vegetarian dish.
