Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides.
  4. Pour in soy sauce and chicken broth, bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover and cook for 25-30 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  6. Remove chicken and shred it with two forks.
  7. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water. Stir into the sauce in the skillet and cook until thickened.
  8. Return the shredded chicken to the skillet, mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in soy sauce and garlic for a few hours before cooking.
