A delightful appetizer featuring crispy wontons filled with a savory mixture of shrimp and cream cheese.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shrimp, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Mix until well combined.
  2. Place a teaspoon of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold them to seal, forming a triangle.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the wontons until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some spices or herbs to the shrimp mixture.
  • You can bake the wontons instead of frying for a healthier option.
