  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak into thin strips against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Add the steak, and marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the steak and cook until browned, then remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add garlic, onions, and bell peppers. Cook until softened.
  6. Return the steak to the skillet, stir to combine, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Adjust the soy sauce to taste for preferred saltiness.
