- 3 pounds beef roast
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups carrots, chopped
- 2 cups potatoes, diced
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine beef broth, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, pepper, and salt.
- Add the beef roast and coat it well with the mixture.
- Add carrots and potatoes around the roast.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
- Remove the roast and veggies, then thicken the gravy with a bit of cornstarch if desired.
- Serve the roast sliced with gravy over the top.
Notes
- For added flavor, sear the beef roast in a hot pan before placing it in the slow cooker.
- Feel free to add other vegetables such as onions or celery.
