- 2 pounds beef shoulder
- 4 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, potatoes, and celery)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place the beef shoulder in the slow cooker.
- Add the mixed vegetables on top of the beef.
- In a bowl, mix the beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper, then pour over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours until the beef is tender.
- Once done, shred the beef and mix with the vegetables before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, sear the beef shoulder in a pan before placing it in the slow cooker.
- Feel free to use your favorite vegetables based on what's in season.
