- 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches and 1/2 cup of sugar. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to allow the juices to develop.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, flour, baking powder, milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish. Spoon the peach mixture over the batter without stirring.
- Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the top of the peaches.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
Notes
- For added flavor, you can sprinkle cinnamon on top of the peaches before baking.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
