- 8 ounces pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each shell with the spinach and ricotta mixture.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place stuffed shells in the dish and top with the remaining marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit any meat-based sauces.
- Feel free to add herbs like basil or oregano to the cheese mixture.
